- In her workshops, blogs, novels and Christian Education lessons for married and engaged couples, Venus Mason Theus uses life experiences, humor, truth and the word of God to edify the body of Christ, evangelize to the unchurched and to entertain the masses.
About Venus Mason Theus…
Venus is a former paralegal for the largest health care system in Southeast Michigan. She relinquished her corporate job to assume the role of caregiver for her mother and both of Venus’ maternal grandparents when her mom suffered a crippling stroke in 1997.
In addition to her full time position as Family Manager for her four-generation household, this busy wife, mother, grandmother and caregiver is an author, teacher, consultant and workshop facilitator. Her most popular workshop, entitled Your Slip is Showing is designed to help women thwart negative self images; and to nurture and esteem wholesome relationships with other women.
Venus is currently working simultaneously on the sequel to her debut novel, Brown Paper Bag as well as Pearls of Wisdom for Wives: How to Have a Joyfully-Ever-After Marriage. She recently launched an online network for married women and women who are considering marriage. That web address is www.wisdom4wives.ning.com and all wives and prospective wives are welcome to join.
Venus has been married to Rick Theus since 1985. Together they head their blended family of 5 adult offspring and have a current total of 14 grandchildren. Venus and Rick are the Co-Directors of the Uplift Family Ministry at their home church, Greater Grace Temple Detroit, Michigan
