I wonder if the small to midsize commercial tenant don’t care, don’t understand or just don’t realize the options that are available to them. In my 9+ years in the commercial real estate property management, lease administration and leasing I can count the number of small to midsize commercial tenants that have come into the office for various important issues on one hand. I have been on the other side of the desk when the tenant couldn't pay the rent, didn't have an addendum to the lease for a promise made by the landlord, tenants sales hit bottom, and I have evicted tenants on behalf of the landlord. These are just a few of the many things I have experienced. But what could I do from the other side of the desk when asked for a word of advice from the tenant. Nothing, but bow my head and sympathize, because I was working for the landlord.

Think on these things because we are blessed and able to overcome any challenge life throws our way through Christ who strenghtens us.
