- I’m not one of Trump’s fired or hired apprentices. I’m not an Ivy League graduate (although I did graduate with two degrees by the age of 20), and I haven't been published in the Wall Street Journal. Not yet anyway.
What I DO have is years of working with business owners and entrepreneurs, learning the ins and outs of what makes businesses start and sustain themselves.
When I worked at Charles Schwab, my last employer and first client, I learned what investors and banks look for to determine the viability of a business. They NEVER EVER fund projects they don’t believe are sustainable and profitable. I began working with them to hone their presentations, to deepen the research, chisel the business model.
Starting a business is easy. Business owners mistakenly think that if they write a business plan, a mission statement and come up with clever ways to market their service or product, they’re home free. After all, your business is about the products and services you sell, so if you find the perfect way to market and sell them, you’ll be successful, right?
Wrong. Being successful takes much more than that. For longevity and sustainability, you have to EXECUTE and REVISE your plan.
Most of the information available for small business owners focuses on business theories and techniques. But it doesn’t give you a a focused, step-by-step plan based on the reality of your business, your market and your clients. Creating a realistic strategic plan and then executing it is the most important aspect of owning a profitable business. Execution exposes reality and allows you to act on it.
My job as a coach and consultant is to keep my clients focused, motivated and accountable for implementing that plan.
My specialties: Coaching service professionals and entrepreneurs on profitable, purposeful and personally fulfilling ventures. Finding financing for businesses, operational structure, how to start up a business, grow/expand your business by increasing your client base, setting up a new location, hiring personnel, licensing your product/service, etc.
