- I am a retired elementary teacher (27 yrs) and presently have written my first book for boys, ages 9-12. I enjoy decorating , cooking, volunteering, spiritual growth, palates, traveling and chocolate!
"It’s Crunch Time!”, This is a new children’s book by Marie Brewer (www.helenbrewer.com for the link to book) This is my book of muscle for boys (ages 9-12) to point them in the direction of HOPE!...This is an interactive book where they can write about their feelings. It discusses acceptable behavior, honesty, good self-image, respect for females and animals, appreciation for teachers/school, choosing good friends. The book also talks about resisting gangs, guns, drugs, violence, alcohol and bad influences. Let's attack the behavior, not the boy. "It's Crunch Time!" , by Marie Brewer, www.bbotw.com. Often society tends to focus a lot on adolescent females, and marginalize the issues adolescent males have to struggle through on their own if they do not have access to strong male mentors or father figures. More books such as yours are definitely needed to help uplift, and inspire young men; but also to reach for the stars! Wishing you nothing but success and positive exposure on your latest project!
