About Me:

My love for sewing and designing began in the 7th grade, when I made my first pillow for class. From there it developed into making wedding, prom & pageant dresses for family and friends and later home-decorations for my mother and her friends. I began doing alterations in 1990 while working for OSU, raising my sons, and obtaining my degree from The Ohio State University. Around 1996, I fell in love with African designs and incorporated the concepts in my designs. My passion for designing and creating garments that make people feel good about themselves has continued to increase. I began to do fashions shows for fundraisers and for Black History celebrations. During the last portion of my class work at OSU, I was a student assistant in the CAD Lab, a designer and director for our 2006 Design Fashion Show at OSU and a designer for Women’s Build – Project Funway. At the current time, I’m still employed at OSU and awaiting for my dream of designing for a company to come true.
