Hello, my name is GinaRenay. I am the CEO/Creative Artistic Director and HHIC, which is the "Head Hooker in Charge" of AWE!Some CROCHET. I am an avant-garde knitwear designer/visionary specializing in YOUnique fashion & accessories. I am a fiber artist, Instructor--"work dat Creative Hook!", interpretative dancer, storyteller, STITCHologist, fashion & model coordinator, teach and HOOK IN RANDOM MARATHONS: I am an assembly-line Stitchtress, lol!
My style has a strong afrocentric flair with touches of Victorian & folk art influences. I am a down to earth organic crafter.
I am married to a wonderful man who is extremely supportive. We have 3 lovely daughters and one is following in my crochet steps and the other 2 are budding entrepreneurs in writing, illustration and jewelry design.
I teach young people (ages 7 - 18 years old)one on one as well as in groups to pass down the legacy of creating lovely simple projects for themselves or as gifts, especially for their parents.
I would like to go into youth centers to teach design as well as etiquette and pass along the gift. "Walk it out in self-respect." It's on its way, and the doors will open wide--I can feel it!
I participate in numerous fashion shows each year and inspire others to walk in what they love. I enjoy incorporating different media into my designs, which even enables the client to hang my pieces on the wall as wearable art.
I am a costume designer as well. My designs appeared in the African indie movie "Dream Kweens".
I hosted a tv show in Pascagoula, MS pre-Katrina, called “AWE!Some Crochet YouGoGirl”.

I previously mentioned that I had a tv show in MS "pre-Katrina" (Aug. 2005) called "The AWE!Some Crochet YouGoGirl" show. I plan to take classes as a tv producer here in Atlanta. We survived Katrina, and God has His hand on my life. He has and continues to order my steps when we have been blindsided & battled by circumstances.
