About Me:
I am a teacher and single mother. I struggled to finish undergrad and my masters degree. I want to show my daughter by my actions that she can do ANYTHING! I have always wanted to have my own business so I have a legacy to leave my daughter.
I have worked in education more than 10 years. I hold a B.L.S., and a Masters in Education and English. I am also author of two poetry books, and two fiction books, and have an internet radio show.

Author Nefertari Imani Baraka
will be appearing at the
2008 Decatur Book Festival

Nefertari Imani Baraka is a poetess, singer, spoken word artist, and teacher in Dekalb County Georgia; though currently living in Georgia, she was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. A proud product of the Detroit Public School System she has been writing since the third grade. She mentors youth in her school and community. She is the author of several books.


The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Decatur Book Festival’s Book Market and Street Fair will be held August 30 and 31, 2008, on the historic Decatur square, and will be held rain or shine. http://www.nefertaribooks.com

Riland's Annual Community Health and Arts Festival

On September 26, 2009 from 10am-6pm in Milam Park Clarkston, GA
This is our annual event to raise funds for the Cynthia Eline Riley Memorial Scholarship and the
My Brother's Keeper Scholarship. Vendor tables are still available for $35.

Some Attractions:
The health department will be out administering flu shots at a $10 discount
Kool Smiles will be doing free dental screenings
A doctor / pedritician will be on hand to do bloodpressure screenings and answer questions.

Riland Educational Corporation is seeking vendors for it's Annual CommunityHealth and Arts Festival.

When: September 26, 2009 10am - 6 pm Where: Clarkston, Georgia's Milam Park.
Vendor Tables are $35 and are first paid first placed. We have 5 tables left with electricity and they are $40. Reserving a table gets your business card free placement in out dircetory to be passed out the day of the event. If you aren't able to be there $10 you can add your business card to our directory to be given out to every patron. Tables can be reserved and paid for at www.rilandcorp.com
